After talking to RickB recently, I came to the conclusion that we don't have enough text on the wiki and that we need to think of expanding until we take over the world (or something similar). (I am only joking about world domination.) Sahal

[edit] Distributing HTTP traffic
Using...
- CoDeen CDN
- insert name of some distribution software RickB was talking about
- make packages of static pages daily (name time frame here), uploaded, then finally downloaded by all servers and mirrored.
[edit] Why it sucks
Some say we don't have enough traffic. RickB says our traffic amount seems to have increased according to his bandwidth statement. This is most likely due to NeoCon related activity.
[edit] Why it rules
Distribution prevents (significantly hinders) total annihilation in case of DoS attack or server failure. RickB says his server has failed very few times but that number is not 0.
[edit] selling Vhosts
selling accounts to BNCs or similar will provide us some income.
[edit] Why it sucks
Are we secure enough to allow remote connections from potentially untrusted clients?
- We should not provide an open proxy service.
- We offer FREE services as a community, supported by donations.

[edit] Why it rules
We can make enough money to make NeoCon cost less and pay for domain renewal.
[edit] Some kind of mentoring program
We find people who might be interested in server management, irc, and wasting time and train them to run servers. This will increase our server and user count. This will lead to large increases in the user base because these users bring their friends to Neoturbine too.
[edit] Why it sucks
nobody cares.
[edit] Why it rules
It has worked so far. :P
[edit] Running multiple networks
We should run SILC (and Jabber) along side our IRC network. Let's jump on the SILC bandwagon so we can seem like geniuses when the revolution sets in.
[edit] Why it sucks=
- more bandwidth use
- complicates things a little
[edit] Why it rules
- silc is a fully encrypted network
- it has more redundancy than IRC
- its more advanced
- harder to DoS attack because leafs can be hidden
